My VIM isn't firing

If your VIM doesn't fire when the activation button is pressed, there are a few things you can check to help get things working again.

5 Click Lock

The very first thing you should check is whether your battery has been locked. When you press the fire button on your VIM, it should light up (green/blue/red depending on remaining charge). If it doesn't, it's likely that it has been locked. To unlock, rapidly click the power button 5 times. The fire button should then flash, and be ready to use.

Check it's Charged

If the button doesn't light up, and the 5 Click Lock has been checked, you should next check to see what happens when you try to charge the VIM. When the USB charging lead is plugged in, the button should glow red, turning to blue when fully charged. If the button doesn't light up when connected to the USB charging lead, it suggests there's a problem there.

  • The first thing to check is whether the VIM charges successfully using another USB lead. If you have a spare to hand, test it with this to see whether or not it begins charging normally.
  • If you're using a USB wall adapter, try charging your VIM via a USB port in a laptop or PC, or with another USB wall adapter.
  • If the all of the above has been checked and the VIM still refuses to charge, please contact customer service sales@jacvapour.com

Connector Pins

If the VIM responds when the button is pushed, but the tank still refuses to fire, the next thing to check are the two connector pins located inside the body of the device.

Remove your VIM tank from the device and look down into the empty slot. You will see two small pins which should both be sticking up. If one or both are flattened, this could be the cause of your issue.

These pins are mounted on springs, and it's possible that the spring has simply become a little stuck. Using a pen, you can gently push on the connector pin to loosen the spring, which should cause the pin to pop back up into position. If it does not, please contact customer service.

Check Your Coil

Once all of the above has been checked, the final thing you can do is to check the coil that's fitted inside your VIM tank.

The coil should be firmly screwed into place, and you should also check that it hasn't been cross-threaded. If everything has been firmly connected and your VIM still refuses to fire, it's possible that the coil itself needs to be replaced.

After replacing the coil, if you're still having no luck, please contact customer service.
